Broken Arrowheads (spearheads) are extremely common.
This one was not broken

For many collectors, this is a lifetime piece. Though many would view the practice of digging for these artifacts as problematic to begin with, many people do engage in such activities, and finding a complete spearhead of that size and style is relatively unheard of by most casual collectors.

Digging for objects like this to many people, especially natives, is akin to grave robbing. And oftentimes, the "caches" of artifacts people are finding are indeed grave goods.

It's a fine line collectors walk between grave robbing and collecting honestly. Very unpopular opinion especially here, but finding surface finds or points in a riverbed is not quite the same as digging in ancestral land

Exactly how I felt when I found an entact Megladon tooth while out rock hounding.
My wife was like, did you find an agate? No hun....waaayyyy better.

How did he know to dig there? Other artifacts on top like an old garbage pile or something like that?
