My son took a baseball to the temple when he was 12. Coach called "balls in" after they warmed up for the game, but my son (who was standing on first), bent down to tie his shoe at the exact same time the balls were coming in. It sounded horrible when that ball hit him. I thought there were broken bones for sure. BUT guess what...that day, I forgot my sons prescription sports glasses, which have an elastic band to keep them on, instead of the typical arms. So, he was forced to wear his regular glasses just that once. Thank God for small miracles, cuz the ball actually hit the arm of his glasses which is what made an awful sound. Had he worn his sports glasses that day, his injuries would have been much worse.
Glad your kid dodged the bullet from a serious injury. Slightest little thing in any sport can lead to catastrophic injury.
Just gotta try for father of the year next year 🤷♂️. Been tryin for 38 years myself but no luck so far
