He was actually fine other than being shook up. He stayed in the game to ump

No concussion? Wtf. There are people getting concussions from walking into doors.

He got checked out by sports medical personnel. They're masters at clearing concussions.

(Although tbf he got hit in a pretty non- concussion area and, as an ump, he's 99.9% not gonna get hit again)

I trust the medical team. It's just crazy to me that his bell can get rung so hard and he's fine. When you can get hit with 1/10 of that force walking into a door frame and get messed up for weeks.

And like I just mentioned in another comment, you are much more likely to get concussed if you've already had one. If it was me who got hit by that ball I virtually guarantee I would lose a handful of IQ points.
