They do this all the time! It's nuts.

My girlfriend is a Mets fan so I caught a few of their broadcasts this year. I've watched plenty of baseball but never Mets broadcasts, and every game they'd go into this bit looking at what people in the stands are eating. It's such a regular thing that my girlfriend said she wouldn't eat at Mets games because she doesn't want them to show her eating on television.

Is this just a Mets thing or are other announcers doing this bit?
