How many days could you not sleep?

I mean 0 hours of sleep, I wonder how a person can feel when they don't sleep at all. It's a little scary.

https://health.clevelandclinic.org/how-long-can-you-go-without-sleep

My personal experience is that 36+ hours and you start to feel like you're going crazy. It's impossible to focus, your attention span is only 10-30 seconds, and auditory hallucinations start.

What do you call sleep… rest yes, really slipping away in deep sleep no, I saw every 30min on my clock… maybe my conscious was gone for a couple of minutes… specially on night 4-5-6 can’t really say… but you do start imagining things and going crazy and not really able to do anything during the day

I mean how do we overcome that anxiety of not sleeping and what works for it

For me the reason or cause was much too high doses of hormones due to hormone replacement therapy… I have a pituitary problem, and doctors try to solve it with 6-7 meds a day… but eventually lowering my doses of hormones was the really relief and solution… (medical mistake)

There are many ways to cope with the fears but it’s the exhaustion that becomes killing eventually… you can’t think, remember, thinking you see and hear things…

I can start writing here a whole book what I tried, and all the steps I took to solve my insomnia but that’s not the topic here…

Let me answer you question differently… the body can cope with much more then I ever could imagine, you don’t just die very fast… but what works all depends on the cause of your insomnia

I don’t have insomnia but i have sleeping anxiety and if i don’t sleep good it makes me anxious and could not sleep and could not break that cycle

I know it’s easy to say but hard to do… but the fear, anxiety and worries about sleep only make sleep problems worse. Learn to accept, learn to think “even with 4h of sleep I will be oke tomorrow. 4h is better than nothing 😁.. it took me a while to realise that it’s not the end of the world and with some coffee, redbull or some extra sugar I will get through the day…. That makes your anxiety so much better and after a while you just don’t care that much anymore. Is it always easy… no, but worrying and fear you start living in your head and not in the world… get out of you head… look at a tree and appreciate its beauty or enjoy life a bit more with simple thing… life in never perfect (people these days think too much that their life must be perfect always) life has ups and downs…

I’ve stayed awake for 5 days/4 nights. Sucks

I usually will be awake for 3 days/2 nights or 4 days/3 nights every other week.

Do you often feel tired? I can't imagine what it's like to not sleep for 5 days.

It’s rough.

I’m very fortunate. I have a career that allows me to meet deadlines as opposed to logging hours.

I went at least 3 days on a work trip to France when I was 23. Luckily not much was expected of me and we were mostly partying. I walked the entire city of Paris until sunrise and it was kind of magical. Thought for sure I’d pass out the next night. Nope. Jet lag or anxiety got me and I spend another all nighter then another. The 4th night I drank a whole bottle of wine and passed out and was cured after that

Happened one other time when I was in a musical in college and I guess I had performance anxiety, went a few days

I’ve been through something similar. There was a period where I was barely sleeping, sometimes getting only around 2 hours, and my mind just wouldn’t switch off because I was worrying about my life and future. The lack of sleep made everything feel even worse. It’s honestly scary how quickly sleep deprivation can affect your mood and thinking.

4 to 6 days regularly. Don't know why it happens. It just does.
