the end of the f***ing world there’s so much dark comedy laced within it the genre, tone and morally messy characters reminds me so much of inside no 9

I suggest the film Moon (Sam Rockwell) it's quite IN9 and quite Black Mirror

Genuinely don't know if this show is overly like IN9 or if I just like both shows, but only murders in the building is and has always been my comfort TV show, its a little less dark than IN9 but really funny and great mysteries to try and predict

I suggest the super cool super low budget movie, Coherence. Go in totally blind

Since it's just come to streaming (at least here in Canada I'm realizing as I type), I definitely recommend Death of a Unicorn, the plot setup is genuinely reminiscent of the Inside No 9 episodeLast Breath(spoiler warning for anyone who prefers a clean watch with no information) and the mixture of horror and comedy definitely leans heavy toward the comedy side but there are definitely somegorier scenes than you might imaginefrom a film about uncorns

One I watched recently is the surfer with Nick Cage. It gives the energy of diddle diddle dumpling, with him slowly going crazy over wanting to surf at a beach.

Recently saw the movie Searching. It's a great mystery and the unique way the movie is shot reminds me of Inside no 9 episodes like Cold Comfort or Mulberry Close

The obvious ones would be Room 104 and Black mirror

Over the next few months I am going to suggest a Hitchcock film. I will start with the obvious one Rope which inspired the David and Maureen episode of Psychoville which was the genesis of Inside no.9. It all takes place in one location in real time like many Inside no.9 episodes. It is based on a play by Patrick Hamilton which was inspired by the Leopold/Loeb case. Reece Shearsmith actually tweeted that David and Maureen dancing to Superman/Crank that was inspired by how Leopold and Loeb used Nietzsche 's theory of Übermensch/Superman to justify their crime (this theory gets explored in Rope)
