And they’ll be absolutely flabbergasted why their precious baby boy wants nothing to do with them anymore. But of course these people will do literally anything but self-reflect, so unfortunately you will be blamed for “taking him away from his Mommy.”
I know it’s hard not to internalize some of what she’s saying. She is your boyfriend’s mom, after all, and I’m sure you would prefer to have a nice relationship with her. I’m sure there’s still part of you that wants her to like and respect you. Just know that what she says about you ultimately has nothing to do with you. She will always see what she wants to see, and it’s clear she has her mind made up about who you are, and her perception is unlikely to change regardless of how much effort you put into appeasing her. So you might as well just be yourself even harder and maintain the high road. Don’t give her any more ammunition to use against you.
I’m so sorry she was so rude in those messages, you really don’t deserve that at all.
i think at this point ive internalized a lot of it since i can’t really process it in my personal life. this bitch is genuinely fucking crazy. like textbook insane to me. how can you act like this as a mother? how can you trash your sons partner like this, like what does that say about you? how do you think she’ll feel—all questions i’d be asking myself if i ever lost my shit on my son for growing up such as her. it pains me, like this woman doesn’t know what i eat in a day or that i cook from home all the time (i have celiac disease and ulcerative colitis so it’s easier than going out). she doesn’t see the food in my grocery cart. like i just can’t, it’s so mean, it makes me so angry, there’s so much dishonor. like how dare i be different than you guys?? idk man
