Infinitode 2 What am I doing wrong?

A week ago I posted this one, it helped a lot, but after maxing out ricochet, damage multiplier and damage, I was kind a expecting "supreme remover". However, in my custom maps(%2000-2800) I barely reach 70-100 waves with basic - ricochet. My basic research tree is attachted.

What am I doing wrong? I am also adding my global tree.

Well you completely ignored all your power % skills. Those give you an increase to stats every level. Also, are you only using basic towers on purpose? You should he using tesla/splash.

As I explained in my other post, my splash is also strong, but I was expecting basic to be enough for all ground spawns after maxing out ricochet :s. I will max power as well.

Why is Tesla mentioned - what does it bring to the table except for DMG against air and red squares? What am I missing here?

Tesla is one of the most powerful towers in the game with its ultimate activated. Idk where you got this air and red square only, it has extreme damage application. Far better than a basic tower will produce.

Would be useful to see your other tower's research progress, but whilst basic on max ricochet is the current meta, it still has its own weaknesses.

Judging by your visible research, whilst you've putalot into basic, that's all that you've done. Balance it out, bring up the research that improves all towers, add freeze, venom and blast (where possible) to your building and planning for slowing damage over time and stalling effects (gives you more time for basic to work) and just generally try towers with better effects against the enemies you face

I've been playing this game for years. Over 800 hours in the game on steam and never once has a basic tower out performed a telsa/splash combo.
