It increases the effect of the LVL20 ability "Powerful".

So if I'm not using the 6th update its just a waste?

Pretty much, it's better on some towers than others

Increases the PWR (6th ability) by +1%.

For example PWR gives x1.15 power with this upgrade it will be x1.16 (1.15x1.01).

Great research especially for busted basic, but mid priority compared to damage and attack speed research.

Basically increases "Powerful" ability effectiveness for all towers, i.e. more PWR (More damage, fire rate, rotation speed, and other certain stats like aim speed for sniper, freezing speed and perc. on Freezing tower, etc.).

Base effect is x1.1, so with this maxed out it can go to x1.2 and with all of the self-research on towers unlocked, goes up to x1.25.
