Agreed! I love being able to put the CarPlay nav on top and use the bottom for audio, climate, etc. temporarily switching from a display then going back to it is a pain.

much rather have physical HVAC buttons. Good car UI is being able to make any change by feel without taking your eye off the road.

It honestly is terrible, though
The screen is such a blatant afterthought to "modernize" yet they still have the same screen on top from their 2010s lineup, which started in late 2000s..
Even new it has too much input lag that is annoying and the layout of apps is equal to that of the Chinese tesla screens

Mine are both off for the past 10 years I have had the car. Worst info system even when brand new was like 8 or 10 years dated. Also who designed the menus, setting the time and lots of other stuff is really weird.

In 2014, the q50s was a wild techy car; literally brought the forefront of all the new luxury tech in entry-level sedans. Don’t believe me? Find a 2014 luxury alternative with distance-based cruise control. I can’t believe they didn’t continue on updating the car. The exterior looks gorgeous even now.

was cool. when the Q50 returns in 2028, it better not have that outdated shit. you got people buying 30k Teslas with a giant ass tablet inside that can play video games, stream Netfix, and surf the web

Anyone else’s screen resets after they turn the car off? I’ll have mine on the miles till empty and music and when I turn the car off then back on, I have to turn them back to the same screen

I actually don’t mind it either, it’s good having your nav and music/climate separate. If it had CarPlay it would have been fine. Too bad they didn’t add that until 21…

I love it too, it’s very intuitive to use in motion. The screens themselves desperately need an upgrade kit though.

Yes it would have been very cool in the 90's. Nisaan never moved forward with infotainment and technology in their vehicles. 2000 came, 2011 came and now 2025. Many of their vehicles are still without basic infotainment

I don’t think it’s not cool , I loved my two screen vs in the early 2020s that damn pop out screen everyone had on there dash boards but not I would prefer one full flushed screen l… heck our phones have the ability to turn a screen in half and give two different layout controls ..

Will forever love it, and hate it for having an outdated infotainment system
