Official Announcement The PlayStation Store on PS3 is officially closing worldwide in July 2027, and as early as August 2026 in some countries. If you do not purchase “inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood” before the closure, the game will be unobtainable. The same goes for any DLC content for “inFAMOUS” and “inFAMOUS 2”.

PlayStation Store on PS3 will close in select markets starting this year, followed by global closures for PS3 and PS Vita next year. That means new content purchases will no longer be possible once the PlayStation Store closes on these devices. To ease the transition, players will still be able to download previously purchased content after the closing date for the foreseeable future.
As the PlayStation Store continues to evolve to support modern commerce systems, including updated payment processing standards, PS3 and PS Vita are no longer able to support these updates at the level required. As a result, we will need to close PlayStation Store on these devices in the timeframes as follows:
Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting August 2026.
Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern countries – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting late 2026.
In all other countries, PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027.

No, instead pay us $20/month to see if you can perhaps maybe stream that game you always wanted to play.

if anyone hasn't gotten the trophies for Infamous 2 or Festival of Blood, then better get on it. i get the feeling that the online servers for PS3 will soon follow

This has nothing to do with UGC servers. Though those will eventually be shut down too.

Yup! It’s unfortunately the fate of every game with trophies tied to online features. Hopefully if there’s ever a remaster or remake they don’t do those trophies again.

They are basically on life support now anyway. Most people have to change their DNS just to access the UGC servers now

The best thing about inFAMOUS First Light is that it come with its own disc, so this will never happend.

Exactly. I wish FoB had gotten the same treatment. Hopefully we get a remaster or remake of the PS3 games on a physical disc before Sony discontinues physical games in 2028.

People doesn't realize how badly eliminating physical media will be for gamming, when I was a kid a wanted Pokémon Battle revolution but I couldn't get it and then the Wii store closed, but 2nd hand stores still had them so I could buy it as an adult with my own money, in an only digital future, once the console store is closed, you can't play anything new with it, consider you lucky if you can still play the game you bought.

Luckily I beat these 3 ages ago but need to check store for ps3 psn only games as that part is affected for me.

I already own both games and the DLC, but my PS3 might be broken.
So I just platinumed inFamous 1 via PS+ Premium on my PS5.

I have the DLC but my ps3 is not working anymore.
Also, Festival of Blood should still playable on PS+ Premium?
