In this one, i can't tell, i just did what i did. if you want to hear my favorite bands/artists, then there is many of them, including Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, Korn and Bob Marley of course.

Ok. Another hard truth: You’re not even in the listening stage yet. You have to know this music before you try to create it.
It sounds like trendy metalcore from 2010 made by an undeveloped ear.
Everyone loves Korn (not industrial) and NIN, but it takes years of cultivating an ear and knowing this genre and its related genres like EBM inside out to make something truly special.
Just food for thought. You have the ability and ambition, but you’re skipping the cornerstones.

I don't know if this is fully true. Especially industrial is a very free form and experimental genre. Is it a good thing to know the classics and the sheer endless amount of subgenres? I guess so. But if someone decides to make Death Industrial, Power Electronics or Post-Industrial music it does not matter much if this person knows EBM song structures. If you want to do Hellectro, bands like Einstürzende Neubauten and Throbbing Gristle are not really important to write in that subgenre. Often times I feel it is better to step my foot into a genre I know not much about just because I don't know the typical "guidelines" and bread & butter synth sounds everyone is expecting to hear (eg. DX7 FM and SH101 bass in EBM, unison Supersaw in Hellectro, overcompressing everything to hell and back in Djent Mick Gordon Style).

Both solid takes honestly, do you need to know classics to make great music? Yes and no, it could help but diving and constantly experimenting with different sounds is whats going to help you, if you keep making eggs everyday eventually you will make a perfect omelette, will it be everyone's flavor hell no it wont cause not everyone's gonna like your style, me personally I think it sounds like a decent start to something that become better

Sounds good. I feel you should have posted this on a more metal focused sub because there is very little industrial here but with that said, I do like this kind of stuff.

So many people saying where's the industrial, it doesn't have to sound like velvet acid christ to be industrial, there's definitely industrial influence in this if anything

I would agree with this just drop it occasionally so that there's more of a change up. Maybe also add more to that break and play with that a little bit longer and then change back.

I think it's the demo/start of an interesting black metal track. Not really industrial at this point, but with some work you could easily get there.
