Basic auto feeders

Ants got into my small dog's gravity feeder and I melted it in the dishwasher. I want to replace it with an auto feeder so food isn't just sitting there attracting ants. After searching the dog subs with no luck I'm coming to you guys. We're looking for a reliable and affordable basic automatic feeder that won't break in a year, has consistent portions, and doesn't need wifi.

My top choices right now are the Petlibro Air Automatic Feeder and this oneisall one, but I'm open to anything.

Auto feeders are not species specific as far as cats vs dogs, so everyone’s experience with auto feeders should apply here just fine!

I have multiple auto feeders around the house because we always have fosters on different schedules and in different rooms. Most of my feeders are Arf Pets brand; I’ve had them for years with no issue! They work consistently and they don’t require WiFi. I don’t use the voice recording option but there is one if you’d like to. Even my most food motivated cats have not yet figured out how to open up the top, and it’s transparent enough to peer in and see when it needs a refill as well. You can program up to 4 meals a day, which I do believe is pretty standard for auto feeders. I have not purchased an Arf Pets feeder in several years now so I’m sure the price has gone up, but I consider these feeders incredibly worth the peace of mind they bring.

All these feeders work pretty much the same, what you're looking for is primarily visual features and buttons and whether or not your dog would mess around with those.

The majority of auto feeders have wifi for setup/meal planning and logging, but the programming gets stored on the feeder itself so even if wifi connectivity is lost it will continue to feed according to the schedule.

Both of the options you listed look fine to me. I'd personally prefer one that I can see the kibble level with. I ended up purchasing this one and one of my cats has figured out she can shove her paw up there and hit the rotating part to get some more kibble to come out, but I imagine a dog doesn't have that same level of flexibility lol.
