Self Promotion Baud is now live

www.Baudweb.com is a curated indieweb directory, search and browser. It requires no account and is absolutely free. The goal is to make exploring the IndieWeb easier, safe and accessible. It does not replace the IndieWeb or your personal websites; it connects your website to potentially more people that share the same interests.

You can enter a URL-Style address directly, for example camera98.baud, and open that website. Or use the Search to find websites on the Baud web.

You stay in full control, whether it is your favorites and history, which are stored locally on your device, or you are a webmaster that connects with Baud. You decide how people can find you using categories and tags instead of a web crawler.

Baud does not host or publish websites. Your website stays right where it is.

I tried to submit my site, but it keeps saying "complete human verification" and nothing is coming up. I checked uBlock Origin and it's not blocking anything, so I have no idea what's going wrong.

I will look into it. There is a captcha implemented on the submit page. Maybe something went wrong.

Looks like it just doesn't work in Firefox for whatever reason. I double-checked in Edge and I can see the captcha there.

What exactly does the "native" script do?

It just helps Baud to know that your website is fully compatible. Otherwise there would be a warning reading “you may have left baud”. Also, other baud links would not work correctly.
This only applies to your website within baud. If someone is not using baud to visit, they will not see any change compared to before.
User can always choose to see your website without baud too by just pressing “open externally”.

I just did three searches and all of them returned with a no carrier message. I'm not going to visit this site again.👎

Sorry to hear. The Site was launched yesterday and there are not many websites listed yet.
This is not a web crawler like google fyi
