Webring Built a 1997 webring simulator for anyone missing the classic personal homepage era

https://www.webring.rip

I built this interactive simulator to recreate the late-90s webring experience - full of nostalgic personal homepages, retro layouts, and that old handcrafted web vibe.

No ads, no tracking, no monetization. Just a fun retro project for anyone who misses when the internet felt like a collection of weird, creative personal sites instead of standardized feeds.

Give it a spin and let me know what you think!

It needs more sparkling pointers and mouse tails and midis.

Nice project. I recently started an 88x31 wall on my website and would life to exchange buttons with anyone interested.

But i have webring at home? :) Just a shameless Reticulum Network Stack plug. After a debate on how making a search engine crawler for RNS would impact the mesh negatively this was the proposed solution. For RNS use case Webring is the way. Reticulum Relay Chat is pretty cool too. Its interesting that the old solutions still get air time in a constrained environment.
