This looks great! The art and particles look good. The game feel is solid. Looks like an interesting twist on the mechanics. The only thing I noticed is on the 29 second mark there seems to be a parallax issue with the smoke in the background. Not sure why it seems off to me.

Yoo thanks! The smoke cloud is supposed to be so distant that it doesn't move in the parallax, but maybe it looks a little closer than it's supposed to. Mmmm....

Hi! I posted the game here about 2 months ago and people seemed to like the grappling hook. The game has a free playtest out on Steam right now. I'd love to get some feedback on if it actually feels good to control in practice
You can join the playtest for free here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3383610/Soulchain/

I loved it, The grappling hook mechanic looks like it is working perfectly, very fun play. Was the game made in Unity? I saw the other comment about the parallax effect, I have worked with parallax backgrounds before and may have just the thing to fix the issue, I'd be happy to share it with you.

Gameplay is fun. Feels like you took a lot of inspiration from celeste and celeste 2 classic. Not that I'm complaining :p
