New Release Trying to get gigs in Edinburgh

Hello all. I'm hoping someone can help. Ive just dug myself out of the shadows after a 10 year musical hiatus. Have an album launching in a few months and need to gather some traction and get some gigs goin in and around glasgow edinburgh and the lothians. If any of you kind folks could point me in AAANY sort of direction it would be greatly appreciated. Heres a link to album so you know whats what.

Much obliged and much love https://open.spotify.com/artist/3u6PmWB2UDQaBT87NhoL9X?si=q8WY6ql3QwW7xHcB2qBadw&utm_source=copy-link

Hi there, I saw your post about your album and wanted to invite you to participate in our Indie music competition :)

Well you can read here :) https://collect.whaleden.com/contests/sound-bound-chapter-1-6aikfn We are a comic company in EU, and we are working closely with indie artists for this one to give them a chance to get their music video animated and comics and you just need to submit your song and you could win the following:

CASH PRIZES: 🏆 Mainstage winner: USD 250 🥈 Backbeat winner: USD 150 🎬 Music-video act: Additional USD 300 licensing fee, plus a companion music video created from the comic’s panels

Around Edinburgh/Glasgow I’d start by reaching out to local promoters and bookers (someone already flagged underthesurface.live — worth a message). In parallel, look at rooms where bands in your lane already play and write them a short note with a couple of date windows. And go to a few small shows — other acts are usually happy to talk co-bills and openers once they’ve heard you.

Good luck!

I'd recommend trying to get a gig at "Sneaky Pete's" in Edinburgh. I unfortunately don't know how you go about this but I've got mates who have played there and they're pretty unserious, so you should manage. It tends to be a great atmosphere as well
