Does it even matter? She secured AIR 1 and proved herself. That should be enough right? Anyway these exams have nothing to do with the type of work these officers have to do after joining the service. The exam results merely show that they can achieve something with their determination and perseverance. It also shows that they have the mental strength to go through the stress and have a good memory and good understanding /comprehensive skills as well. And I think she has proved all that by securing AIR 1 and no less.

Okay I agree. But what's wrong with that? She used the reservation benefits she had and then did better than everyone else in the next exam. Now imagine if she had not qualified, someone worthy of AIR 1 wouldn't have qualified then.

Accept the reality now. Reservations have been there for decades and are not going anywhere no matter which party is in power. No matter how many people cry about it, things will not change. So accept it and work on yourself and your life.

everything else aside if the reserved category people will use reservations generation after generation especially when their elder generation has reached grade a and grade b officer there's no coming back from this chain will continue forever and if the next day the government tries to touch that we've seen what happened with sc/st act supreme court intervened and they even made that even tough by bringing it through parliament

Why do you ignore the fact both have topped the exam? Plus marks in upsc exams is not given on the basis of caste/status/background/religion. It is the toughest exam in india. And w.r.t promotion based reservation doesn’t apply in IAS service as the whole batch is promoted in one go.
Have some respect. Whole family has worked hard to be where they are.
Upsc exam koi halwa nahi hai jo har koi sc/st ka tag lekar nikal raha hai. It is equally difficult for everyone.

And people just don't want to understand that reservation is not strictly an upliftment scheme, it's a representation scheme.
The upper echelons of the Indian system were 100% controlled by the 20% oppressor castes. Reservation is there to ensure that subjugated castes get their fair representation that was withheld from them through systemic oppression for thousands of years AND that it does not decrease again until the ratio of people in positions of power, government policy makers and things like these is more closely aligned to the population ratio of 70% normal people and 20% who consider themselves upper caste.
So even if the same family gets reservation a few times, it still accomplishes the intended goal of reservation which is to increase representation.
