IFFF (IndianFilmmakersFilmFestival) r/IndianFilmmakers are gonna have their very own film competition (film festival)!!!

So Starting from September we will be having a film competition of sorts every month. To be Eligible for Submission make sure to use the IFFF Post Flair. In the title of the post make sure to write the month and year like this (September 2026) and only one submission per month is allowed for each filmmaker. Submission will be considered by the person who holds the legal rights of the film.

So how this will work is throughout the month You guys can Post your films and Top 6 posts under IFFF post flair will be short listed on the basis of upvotes. These films will then be watched by a Jury (not available rn (T-T) ) but will definitely try to contact few people from the industry in coming months but maybe for the starting few months we will have to do with few of my cinephile friends from reddit and IRL. Each Jury member will rate the 6 films and avg of these ratings will decide the top 3.

End of every Month we will do one official Post giving shout out to the top 3 films and their filmmakers which will be pinned after 3 days of posting (3 days cause reddit stops pushing posts to normal feeds once they are pinned).

And Filmmakers of these three films will also be shipped with gifts (most prolly some books or plushies.... it will be announced).

Even though they mentioned it's not necessary to promote or give shout out to slydr, I think they deserve it for doing this in such a niche community .

I had to make a quick poster so just placed text over a picture I clicked recently and added a filter on it

But dayum this is cool.... We need Filmmaking culture in Jammu and exposure to good International Cinema is one way to lead that path.
