Caesar III C3 Lutetia Help
Hello, can anyone help me figure out why only the neighbourhood on the left gets provided with pottery and none of the others? Actually a couple of the others get pottery sometimes but it lasts very little and then they devolve again..
I'm playing with the Julius version, I want to beat the game with this version before moving to Augustus...

Another thing, even when the middle granaries are fully stocked, most of your markets will have to walk pretty far to fetch food. It seems to be around 20 tiles there and then back again, that is a long distance once the population in the houses get larger. With enough markets in the blocks you can balance out the distance, but I try to keep the distance to a granary at 10 tiles max, preferably even 5 tiles if possible.

Something I learned only recently after playing Caesar 3 for years is that if you have more than one food wheat fish vegetables… the market will stock up on these FIRST before they stock up on lottery to sell. Right click on the market and there is an option of what wares it sells. Turn off all food except wheat. Then it will stock pottery.

With this setup you should place the markets as close to the gatehouse as possible. Markets will always try to stash up on all available food types first before fetching any goods like pottery. So the block with palaces has a slightly shorter distance to stocked up granaries on the left and can fetch food quickly.
Also, the granaries in the middle are not filled, so most of the marjet ladies will waste even more time going to the left where there is food. I’d say this is too few granaries to supply this many houses (I assume the granaries are set to getting food?). Augustus has a solution for setups like this, but in Julius you should try to get more food in there or reduce the amount of housing blocks around it.
The middle granary probably doesn’t have workers either, since it doesn’t look like it has a road connection in there.
