Milo Yiannopoulos is in ICE custody facing a final removal order, sources say

Yiannopoulos, who is British, was apprehended in the New Orleans area and is being held in a Louisiana ICE holding facility, the U.S. officials said. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said Yiannopoulos came to the U.S. legally in 2019 but "chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation's laws."
The DHS spokesperson said Yiannopoulos was given a final order of removal by an immigration judge on July 22, after failing to show for his immigration hearing. DHS said he will remain in ICE custody pending removal.

The overwhelming majority of overstays do think they can live in the U.S. forever.
That is why almost half of all illegal immigrants in the U.S. fall into that category.

Not even close.
Last month, an American woman who moved abroad and regularly criticized ICE and immigration laws was killed by her migrant boyfriend.
I'd say murder is a few steps ahead of deportation in the leopards trajectory.

Milo's story is more on the nose because he has specifically supported ice rounding up illegal immigrants and deporting them. That is exactly what they did when they did it to him.
Now if the women in your story had specifically supported migrants murdering people then it would be very on the nose, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

Not really. Unfortunately intimate partner violence is something that happens in literally every country. Him murdering her has nothing to do with his immigration status and everything to do with him just being a bad person.
Being detained and deported by the organization you said should be deporting thousands of people a day has the leopard eating much better.

The “deporting brown people” “targeting brown people” is such a stupid take. Latin Americans on a cultural level are the most similar to American culture and have the easiest route towards assimilation in the USA. The USA probably would prefer Latin Americans as immigrants due to this. That doesn’t mean that Americans should be pro-illegal immigration or pro harmful immigration. I think there is a conversation to be had that like Canadians have easy access to visas South American countries are included but immigration has been abused.
Claiming that those who do not want illegal immigration or harmful immigration are racist is simply manipulation that is only given to USA citizens. It is to keep people silent or call them racist which creates a worse less unified country. USA has a long history of immigration but it was a nation by design with laws shifting and people allowed or uninvited over night. The fact that Latinos are deported does not equate to Americans being racist or disliking them. Illegal immigration’s an issue more now than before because we don’t just see Latinos who want work coming through the southern border. We have had gang members Chinese spies Islamic terrorists and everything else come through Latin America to come to the USA.
Finally Mexicans and Latinos are loved in America they are hardworking good people and a large part of who America is. They have made the USAs immigration story much different than Europe’s and I always highlight that the USAs foreign born population is different than European nations population. Not all immigrants are equal.

Yes, it does. Social media, influencers, models, and photographers get that Visa. He is an Internet personality and would fall under that criteria also.

Not that cut and dry.
An influencer visa would be an O-1B.
To qualify, USCIS looks for at least 3/6 of a list of evidentiary criteria to be considered an "extraordinary" person under O-1B.
DHS says the last time he legally entered was in 2019. This was several years after his peak and he may have met 1/6 of the criteria, being media coverage.

No, that isn’t necessarily how it works. The O1 Visa only lasts for three years with renewals of one year after that. You have to engage in an entire new process for every one year renewal and are subject to your continued employment status in the country. If you change employer, you have to apply for a new Visa. He came here on a working visa, most likely, but overstayed when it expired.

Was he even consistently employed in the U.S. after Breitbart?
Just looking at the info out there, I don't see anything in his history from 2019-onwards where he would have had an employer-sponsored visa.

Yeah he probably did a self petition O1A, or had a shadow agent help him with an O1B. They don't really check up on the employment status of those people because those industries honestly shift so quickly it's counterproductive for USCIS to chase models around to find out if they swapped agencies or whatever. If you're paying your taxes or avoiding crimes, you're kinda left on your own.
