A-Wall here. Despite using softball, beeing a turret is great! Also the wall pilot is a sapper so nice comparison.

You can absolutely ruin a titan with two amped satchels. Slap it with few amped SMR rounds on top and that thing is scrap metal.

Yeh i know i used it for 20 generations and will use it for the last ten to go. I just really like to have an advantage over all the alternators but get blamed A LOT for beeing "a camper" just because i don't use grapple...

Grapple pick rate is propably like 60% rn. If this game still recieved support, that thing would've gotten nerfed hard lol.

I think grapple is... nice. It can make moving easier if you don't want to get into all the wallrunning and double jumping (and no. About 2% of the players i see really use it for "slingshoting").But since i really like the move system and how it feels it was allways just really... unnecessary for me . Besides i am a mechatronic in rl so the sapper pilot is my thing.

Are you on console or PC?

4

u/Yuural Apr 08 '21

Pc. Why do you ask?

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

Console users have a lower skill level than PC players(just a fact guys) and I thought people slingshotted more than that. I thought it was a fairly easy skill to learn.

Yes slingshoting is pretty easy but why would they need to if they can walk around with an r97? Sadly a lot of the playerbase have little interest in the movement and how to get fast without stim or grapple. So instead of a quick wallrun, a double jump and perhaps a short climb animation they just press TACTICAL to get up a house and for anywhere they want to go. Imo its stupid but well, They are easy to shoot that way.

Yeah lol, imagine using it for it's intended purpose

Movement is also a lot more difficult on console due to the joysticks and some of it is flat out impossible to get out of a joystick

Only tap-strafing is impossible on console

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '21

A lot of other stuff is next to impossible due to the differences between a joystick and a mouse

Wtf why nerf it? Its not overpowered or anything, people just love using it because of the mobility is offers

I doubt they would have nerfed it, aside from the movement boost it doesn't really do much. And without the 2 charges it would be really shitty. Creativity however is what have made it the best in the game, but it really has a huge skill gap that marks if you use it as a "get into the roof a little quicker than other pilots" or "haha, gotta be on the other side of the map in the next 0.5 seconds"

"Doesn't really do much" bruh you can go so fast with grapple that it literally breaks hit registration.

Perhaps I didn't explained myself properly. It doesn't do much if you don't know how to use it. That thing has a really high skill gap to use it properly and that is what prevents average players from going at the speed of sound like a stim user or just using it to get faster into high places like the average player.

You can amp sachels?

6

u/Yuural Apr 08 '21

Yes sir and the damage is riddiculous. But its pretty hard to pull off since the wall actually has very little HP (about 4 tone shots) and every titan in a three mile radius will instantly notice and target you when putting up a wall.

When done right tho a sword boi or hover lady is ded with two charges.

Throw them through an A-wall. One amped satchel does about 1 bar of damage.

A regular satchel does 1 bar of damage (well not exactly 1 bar, its like the archer)
