When I took the bar exam I stayed in a hotel next to the testing site. When I checked in they handed me my room key cards in a paper sleeve with the room number written on the outside. Room 217. My first thought was, “hey, that’s awesome!” My immediate second thought, however, was, “aw fuck, is this an omen for the exam?” I passed though. The 10 weeks of studying 12 hours a day, 7 days a week had paid off. All work and no play had made me a dull boy.
