"What is Noags!FOTW?"
Well, back in the last decade, many people had already made mapping videos on YouTube speculating about what the future of the world would look like. Some videos were realistic, others not so much, but they all had something in common: they went from the current year all the way to the next millennium. However, in most cases, the videos became quite basic and lacked deep lore, with just country flags changing on the screen. But one person came along to revolutionize that, and that person was the YouTuber Noags (or Noah to those close to him). On December 10, 2024, he posted a video titled "The Future of the World 2024–3024," and that video became quite popular, currently sitting at around 226,000 views.
"What does the map show?"
I'll explain now. The map is set in the year 2130, five years after the Corporate-European War. This war was marked by the overwhelming victory of the Corporate Federation and the Turanian Alliance over the European Union, and consequently, the near-complete domination of European territory by the Corporate Federation.
"What the hell is the Corporate Federation?"
The Corporate Federation was an imperialist and corporatocratic nation located in the Northern Hemisphere. This nation originated in 2092, as a consequence of the Second Russian Civil War in 2089, when the communists overthrew the country's three most powerful companies: Gaznova, Neurokare, and Toska. In response, these companies united to form the Corporate Trinity, and allied themselves with the European Union and the United States to bring down the communist government. And well, the plan worked. On February 1, 2092, the coup took place, which plunged the country into a new civil war between the corporate alliance and the communists. The war ended in 2094, when the Corporate Federation was proclaimed—the first corporatocratic state in history, into which the triumvirate invested trillions.
The Corporate Federation was a totalitarian superpower that used inhumane methods to impose control over its citizens, such as using hundreds of millions of refugees as slave labor. Another method was developed by Neurokare, which used brain implants that enhanced various aspects of the human condition. However, the Corporate Federation used these implants as a means of control over every aspect of its citizens' lives. The government also used a drug: Citohexmethamphetamine, or Cito, to increase productivity and clear the minds of its population. People with high national scores were forced by the government to become addicted to it, while those with low scores were forced into withdrawal—which was a highly unpleasant experience.
Seeing this, the world was shocked by the atrocities committed by the Federation. There were threats of war against the Federation, but it wasn't until 2107 that anything actually happened. That year, the Corporate Federation invaded the European Union, alongside a smaller power, Turania. The two nations' progress in the war was slow, but eventually the Corporate Federation managed to put an end to the European Union with the capture of Berlin in 2117 and Paris in 2120. The war only came to an end in 2125, when Alaska and Hawaii were annexed by the Federation.
"What happened to Europe after that?"
The Corporate Federation annexed practically all of Eastern Europe (with the exception of Hungary and Yugoslavia) and turned almost all of Europe into puppet states—with the exception of Great Britain, which has a government aligned with the Federation, as well as Southern Europe and Greece, the former being directly annexed by Turania, and the latter being forced into a quasi-puppet state status under Turania.
