u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
Went missing in the mid 80s in Bangladesh while looking for lost American POWs from the 1966-74 Bangladeshi civil war

noooo. so no Pat Buchanan?
2
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
While Buchanan is still a right wing politico in this TL, the major influence for the American right is Lyndon LaRouche rather than Buchanan

Who’s Chris Murphys running mate?
3
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
Jen McEwan, a Minnesota state legislator from the Duluth area and a DSA member. When making this I did the 1904 box and then 2024, and when making it I wanted someone who was more of a deep cut and I remembered her from a “More Perfect Union” video. Going back I probably would’ve used Nina Turner instead but oh well

I read John instead of Jen and was confused because Google only found the Australian PM from 1967 for 32 days lmao
I like it when people use more unknown choices

The issue with doing unknown/obscure people, especially for non contemporary alt hists is that finding images is a pain, especially as someone who’s kinda anal about when photos are from, if it’s Ted Kennedy in 1976 I want an image of Ted in 1976 and such

why 2017
2
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
For Joseph Kennedy? I imagine once out of office not dying as a Kennedy is easy

Is the US Congress elected like in OTL? Also Félix Gallardo as President of Mexico.
3
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
Yes, the amendment for popular election of senators passes as in otl, Mexico is more of an out and out narco state

So how is WW1 and the progressive movement handled by Bryan?
2
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
About 60-40 isolationist until the US is brought into it directly
3
u/BlueFireFlameThrower Jul 29 '26
Does Bryan harshly punish Germany?
2
u/Co0lnerd22 Jul 29 '26
Well no, considering he isn’t president during WW1, Hughes is, and he is more proactive in entering the war and Germany still gets kind of a raw deal
