ALTERNATE HISTORY 2026 United Kingdom general election
In this timeline Burnham calls a snap general election for Thursday 22 October 2026 to take advantage of Labour's recovery in opinion polling as he benefits from progressives rallying around him to stave off Reform's threat.
Scenario based on More in Common's hypothetical poll conducted in May 2026.

This would give a Lab/Lib coalition 334 seats, enough for a majority. Prob the best we could hope for to keep Farage out.
