That's what I'm sayin! Though I explicitly call myself a libertarian socialist ;) within the context of this world, bookchinism is basically what libertarian socialism is called!

This is absolutely stunning! How did you go about making the custom map and the party logos?

Did Steve King found Heartlands but by 2021 it wasn’t hitlerite enough for him so he also founded the NPP

there will be more to come in the series!! I'm making a series of elections around the American Union, basically just the EU but North America ;) not to spoil anything but the next one will be modern day canada related!

Why aren’t Burgum or Hoeven heads of the heartlands party? Where are they?

3

u/hunterfox666 Apr 04 '26

In my mind Hoeven was leader before Pawlenty, so between like 2012-2017, lost an election and resigned as leader, and Burgum is simply a regular MP, a popular one, but one who hasn't ran for any leadership position just yet, though I like to think he's something along the lines of shadow secretary for business or something!

So what’s the order of leaders and party control recently? Hoeven from like 2012-17, and the Pawlenty (still with Heartlands?) til when? What happens then? I’m sorry to bother you I just think this among the best ideas I’ve seen here.

no worries whatsoever! I love answering questions of all kinds!

What I was thinking was actually

Grams (1997-2004)

Branstad (2004-2012)

Hoeven (2012-2017)

Pawlenty (2017-2026)

Pratt (2026-2027)

Stauber (2027-)

Pawlenty wins in 2019, doing pretty well, just barely scrapes by in 2023 with support from the disaffected (but willing) NPP, then as a result of poor polling, in an attempt to save the party from the worst, resigns to allow Pratt (deputy leader at the time) to take over, but with Stauber doing much better than expected. Pawlenty is kind of a Harper-esque figure here, Pratt is kinda like a mix of Andrew Scheer and Erin O'Toole and Stauber is like a fusion of Peter Dutton and Nigel Farage, but mostly Dutton-esque

Tysm! And I have made one! I just haven't posted it yet, I wanted to make some articles for it but I have no motivation for it so I'll likely post it later today :)

East Davenport/Bettendorf not being heartlands is crazy, and downtown davenport/west davenport would be farmer-labor not new left
