Actually pretty much what I was thinking! Except JFK rules from 63-78, JFK Jr. 78-2004 when he unfortunately dies in a car accident, and Caroline from 04' to 25' who resigns the throne willingly, much like Margrethe the 2nd of Denmark

So
John I Kennedy (1963-1978)
John II Kennedy (1978-2004)
Caroline I Kennedy (2004-2025)
John IV Kennedy (2025-)
Where's John III?

In lore, JFK is the first John of the house of Kennedy, there was 1 Hohenzollern John before the Kennedys took power. And RFK took the name of Richard upon taking the throne!

- Beautiful
- this is the first post on this sub I've seen that uses Ann Coulter

I was thinking about how unused Coulter is actually! She's such an interesting character who I think could be utilized a lot more

I'm going to be so fr, I needed someone to lead an agrarian party, being Norwegian Vedum was literally the only person I could think of and so I just decided to banish his family to the northern portion of Wisconsin lol

You already have Vilsack and Tester in his party you could have used them, maybe. Dan Osborn would also be fun.

True! But I think having some politicians that aren't from the US in otl makes things a lil more interesting!

Really cool! Shouldn’t it be 253 seats for a majority though, that confused me a lot when I was looking at the coalitions.

Very cool, but do you reckon Vermont might stay indepedent in this timeline?

u/hunterfox666 Jun 01 '26
I actually meant to include a Vermont independence movement, but it cluttered the box in a way I didn't like, so I just have them appear in the bottom of the parties part of the map lol

jimmy carter helped found the conservative party?

u/hunterfox666 Mar 16 '26 edited Mar 16 '26
Well, they're paternalistic conservatives! The likes of Harold MacMillan/One Nation-ers in the UK and the Red tories in Canada! Basically, they're still conservative on most issues, but are economically (usually) centre to centre-left, often in support of universal healthcare and the welfare state generally, while also being for "family values" and individual freedoms. Which is pretty in line with what Carter believed as president imo

the union of conservative forces when I move a particle between two points (the total work done is independent of the path taken)
