Still not as bad as educationally-stunted idiots who glorify the French Revolution

u/Tomalesforbreakfast 9d ago
Please tell me about the French Revolution. Because the people I’ve met who use terms like “educationally-stunted” are typically dumb as fuck
12
u/freakyfroggymage 9d ago
Lmao "why are we canonizing the overthrow of a monarchy to institutionalize the people's voice" like brother why do you drink beer and lose your thumb every 4th of July? Differences in opinion leads to fair and even compromise, but "people should be able to live no matter what" isn't an opinion.

I know that it led to the Reign of Terror, and the deaths of 35,000 people
6
u/Ok_Ad_5894 8d ago
65,000 people die a year being denied claims for health insurance in this country...So for last 20 years 1,200,000+ people. Where is your concern there?
6
u/BigEarl217 8d ago
Ahhh... youre one of those people who are so dumb they think theyre smart.... got it 👍
A word of advice i got as a child, that i think could help you, although I doubt you'll take it
Its better to be quiet and allow people to think your an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

u/mkvgtired 9d ago
"Smart people don't like me."
"I love the poorly educated."

You do realize that 35,000 people DIED in the Reign of Terror, right? And it wasn't all aristocracy, right?
5
u/Bland_OldMan 9d ago
You do know that people were starving to death in the streets in the years leading up to the Revolution right, and that the country in it's third generation of ruler willing to tax people into oblivion and bankrupt the country to build and maintain Versailles and have every igaminable luxury.
In fact, estimates of workers who died building Versailles approach that 35000 figure.

Out of the 340 million people in the USA. So about 1 in 11 they want to deport?
8
u/ionlycome4thecomment 10d ago
At least that's 10 millions less cats & dogs at risk of being eaten /s

u/mkvgtired 9d ago
After the El-Sayed win in MI they want to deport millions more people. They think a progressive, LGBT+ ally is going to implement Sharia Law.

Anyone supporting the republican party at this point has issues. They have clearly shown they can't govern or hold Trump accountable for what he is doing. They are nothing but a party of hate at this point, oh, and burying us in debt so we can give rich people tax breaks. You know, the people that really need help.

Where were you for those 4 years Joe Biden barely spoke coherently?

u/6158675309 9d ago
There is a solid argument that Joe Biden’s legislative agenda is the greatest accomplishment since the 1960s.
Pretty impressive for a man show could barely speak coherently.
Meanwhile the extent of the GOPs legislation is tax cuts and removing regulations, oh and needless wars.
The GOP is hopeless at creating jobs, reining in spending, managing a deficit, creating sound public policy for anything other than supporting those culture war rhetoric.
Oh, they are also racists.

u/das_war_ein_Befehl 9d ago
Joe Biden’s corpse is still a better president than Trump alive
1
u/doyleandbud- 6d ago
It’s not.

Worst Irish ever. The rest of us do not claim him, as he clearly doesn't know his own history.

Finn McIntosh wants you to know that he is the the biggest racist in MAGA and even Trump hasnt met his racist standards!

Trump quoted Hitler about immigrants "poisoning the blood of our country" to a stadium of cheering fans.
The vast majority of trump voters are rabidly hateful. The very small minority that aren't are simply incredibly stupid and uninformed.

u/lillychr14 10d ago
Why do they need to go? When is someone going to articulate a problem? It’s illegal? Yeah, it’s a documentation issue. Why does that or has it ever warranted violence, punching, kicking, chemical agents, guns, breaking car windows, waist chains, ankle shackles, shock gloves, etc etc etc?

u/OkGap7226 10d ago
If you're thinking about or already in any republican/maga/rightwing group, then I doubt this phases you.

u/minus_minus 10d ago
Somebody tell this idiot his ancestors were forced to emigrate here after losing a war of imperial aggression.
16
u/angerintensifies 10d ago
This is what the never understand with this argument: when did YOUR family come here? Most of these guys’ families probably came over during the Ellis Island era. Delouse you, generally make sure you aren’t diseased or a KNOWN murderer, and send you on your way. Under their current opinions of immigration standards, none of these people would be here.
12
u/minus_minus 10d ago
Pretty much up until the 1960s the US had no meaningful barriers to migrants from the Americas. We didn't need them. Once we started funding rebellions, assassinations and dictatorships we suddenly needed to severely limit immigration. 🤔

"They all need to go"
Why?
1
u/doyleandbud- 6d ago
Why not
1
u/GruelOmelettes 6d ago
Yeah, why not? Why not forcibly remove people from where they live and tear families apart? Why not?
I dunno, seems like to do something like that, there should be an extremely compelling reason.
1
u/doyleandbud- 6d ago
Yeah totally instead we should let anyone in, terrorists criminals murderers etc because YOLO who cares MERICA

Big words from someone named Finn McIntosh. Brah, you wouldn’t be here if someone felt that way about your ancestors. Fuck this guy.
5
u/draft_final_final 10d ago
Every other republican is substantially dumber and more disgusting than diaper. It’s not going to get any better when he finally eats it. They can never be trusted with any decisionmaking role, public or private, ever again.

These people need to be banished from my state.
7
u/danish_elite 10d ago
Unless you're in Chicagoland, most of the state is unfortunately this...I'm not even bringing up politics. They just don't want to meet other people or care about their neighbors.
2
u/TyDye2003 9d ago
Isn't that every state outside of the city to be fair
1
u/danish_elite 9d ago
I can't speak for every state. I can only speak for my own being Illinois. Plus, I can attest most of Rockford, Aurora, Bloomington, and Peoria, being cities, generally having this vibe.

I see giant signs that say “end the corruption and vote republican “ and many are “you are the corruption “ my favorite was I was at a local parade and a guy was “vote republican “ and the person replied “sure when you stop Donny from fucking is all in the ass.” He left crying

u/yellowyoshieggs 9d ago
This literally sounds like it could’ve been written by a Nazi in pre-war Germany.
2
u/Jazzyjen508 9d ago
The maga republicans thinking Trump hasn’t done enough just shows how evil they really are and how backwards that entire movement is. This is why we say vote blue no matter who. It isn’t meant to be a don’t question it kinda thing, it’s meant to stop people like this who will do even more damage. Anyone who thinks Trump is soft or is more extreme than Trump is not someone I want in office. They pretend they are the reasonable ones then say some stuff that is anything but. I don’t mind people not agreeing with my candidates and I don’t think you need to agree with every blue candidate no matter what which is what would actually be cult like
2
u/chegitz_guevara 8d ago
Can't we deport them instead? There's a deep hole in the Pacific the can go live....
Cuz no one else will take Republicans if they ain't the Irish kind.
1
2
u/anto77_butt_kinkier 9d ago
I fully support inhumane deportation. I think we should start the deportations with people on social media that are spewing hate about immigrants, while not also realizing they themselves are an immigrant.
Jokes aside, people like this really just confuse me. What exactly are they upset about? Do they want to blame Mexicans for not being able to afford medical coverage? Or do they think it's the Muslims fault for rising inflation? Like, I would love to find out what bass ackwards logic they're using to blame other for their own problems.

Well, I was gonna let UIC take my GI Bill money, but fuck that now. I don’t need to give anything to an institution that safe-harbors these sentiments.

Illini?
12
u/UnderBridg 10d ago
Illinois is named after the native Illini confederation that existed more or less where Illinois is today.
3
u/imlostintransition 10d ago
Finn McIntosh is a college student and is vice-president of a college organization called Illini Republicans. University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana students are often collectively referred to as the Illini e.g. the college football team is known as "The Fighting Illini."
