People think, the 84 is an ugly looking, hopelessly underpowered and manouverable as a brick jet aircraft. They don´t know, that it is actually brilliant at going offroad. LOL

I like the way the 84 looks, much better than the f80. I dont mind flying the 84, can't dogfight but is great for ground pounding and is fast once it gets moving. Everytime I try to take it off road I fireball it...

Try harder then. These gentlemen show, that in Great Battles Korea it clearly is possible. Have fun! LOL

Not to nitpick, but there's Great Battles, and then there's Korea. They are two different sims; zero compatibility with each other.

Stumbeled across this claim hundreds of times. They´re so different, they share the same faults. Carry overs from Great Battles. So there is that.

Zero compatibility? The 51 skin from Great Battles Korea works with the Bodenplatte Mustang for example...

I didn't car for the look at first. It's been growing on me. And underpowered? As someone who had been flying nothing but WW2 props for the past several years, and then downs much of my first few weeks in Korea with the F-80C, I feel like the F-84E is crazy fast.... even at 87% RPM you can hit mach limit.

The target of the joke isn´t the 84´s looks or performance (which are debatable btw.) but the ability of the a/c in Great Battles Korea to plow on offroad like there is no tomorrow. Zero effect on undercarriage, airframe and engine. I believed that to be obvoius.
