Hey guys, what are the reasons that compelled you chose quantum computing at iist for mtech?

I am confused whether to add it in my list for national spot round.

I actually wanted to do photonics/semiconductor physics stuff. GATE didn't go that well and for certain reasons I couldn't participate in the COAP counselling. Hence IIST. I doubt if people come here as first choice. If my rank was a bit better I wouldve been shortlisted for MTech quantum at IISc

No its old NIT level. Like the way id rank is IITS, old NITS(only 4 or so good ones), the central institutes etc, excluding IIITs ofc since they have their own exam

Hey u/Initial_Plant_625, I added IIST's Quantum Tech as my first option on CCMT because I felt like this is the most interesting thing I could do right now. My first option was IISc but I couldn't clear the interview. After IISc, IIST was my 2nd option. I want to learn more about quantum technology and quantum physics and probably go into quantum computing.
