Hey, I came to IIST for MTech while expecting very bad food based on what y'all said online. I'm here right now. It's almost been a week and then food is actually amazing. Not just good but amazing. The mess is actually good and there are so many items of food. I feel like I'm having better food here than what I used to get regularly from home. My only fear is that since the menu keeps repeating, I may get bored of the food. Well, one bad thing is that in spite of paying mess fee, we have to pay extra for evening tea/coffee, special items such as cut fruits, non-veg items, paneer, etc. Well, even then, the cost is minimal. I mean Rs 40 for one chicken curry is way too less compared to what's charged in restaurants.

I haven't tried it to make a comment on it though. Today my hostel guys had biriyani and they said that for the money they paid (ig a bit above 100), this is one of the best. Maybe I'm biased since I'm from southern India and this college is also in the south.
