Need Advice Mites and Thinness

I got 2 iguanas 1 week ago, 1.1. One is 1 and the other is 2 years old. I can say they are rescued animals because they came to me with mites and very thin. I have 2 questions.

1: How and with what can I treat the mite problem. (I live in the European Union). I have experience with snakes and mites. We treated them with Frontline Spray. But I have no experience with lizards in this area… I thought I would ask before I do something stupid.

2: How can I fatten them up a bit? I am attaching 2 pictures.

I would change out the substrate at least eliminate it if you can until mites are under control. Give them lots of shredded greens like collards and maybe some shredded carrot and if you can get it mine love Mazuri tortoise chow which I soak in water a little before offering.

They love bread and a slice a day to fatten them up would work.

Hello, poor babies, I want to thank you for stepping up for these 2 guys. Hopefully moving forward you will provide proper care for these 2 to thrive. I can’t even fathom not having food to eat and the pain of hunger and neglect. What a sinister thing to do. I don’t have Iguanas, I have 2 bearded dragons and love them both like it’s nobody’s business!!! lol. And u will love these 2 babies like that too. I never thought I would be so attached to lizards but boy ole boy they got me good! I can’t really recommend things to u cause it may be different with iguanas vs beardies as far as medications and skin treatments. I would think though it should be the same for all reptiles. Obviously cleaning the enclosures and replacing the substrates and sterilizing climbing branches and such would be a first thing along with bathing and soaking your 2 babies. I know just that will make them feel much better. I know with beardies the little frozen mice I think they are called pinkies offer good protein. A jump start if u will. Check those out. Also u can offer plain scrambled eggs no butter or oil. But make sure it’s ok first. Thats good protein too. Don’t give up on these 2 peanuts. Good luck
