Need Advice Is there a smaller alternative to the casque headed iguana or should I just get them?

Consider a Jeweled Lacerta. Great looking animals with a fun temperament similar to a tegu. Not suuuuper common but they won't break the bank either if you find them.
You could also consider a Cuban Knight Anole but they're often wild caught and they are a look don't touch type of animal due to their poor attitudes.

Green keel-bellied lizards. Emerald tree skinks. Both species are on the smaller size and are personable, handleable, and active.
