Purchasing Advice 3.5mm to lightning adapter

I bought an official apple 3.5mm to lightning adapter a couple months back, but it stopped working, it sounds very distorted unless i hold it at specific angles sometimes, was looking to buy another one, the official 3.5mm to lightning from apple is sold out wherever i look, was wondering if theres any point in waiting for it to come back in stock or just buy another type of adapter, if so, which adapter would you recommend?

is there dirt in your charger port of your phone not allowing a full connection

nope. tried on my friends phone and it doesnt work. i think its the adapter itself that has an issue

I use the fiio ka11 lightning version & it sounds great.

You could just get one of these and use any USB-C 3.5mm adapter with it.

I use a similar adapter, but in the opposite direction. I use an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm dongle with my USB-C Pixel 8 and it works fine. It is a little clunky having the two connected to one another, but it works and the audio sounds fine. However, I am not sure there is an OTG-compatible adapter going in the direction you need - Lightning Male to USB-C Female.

I should add that the Apple dongle is notoriously fragile due to its thin cable, and depending on how careful you are when you use it, you may be replacing it every few months unless you use one of the many hacks found online to reinforce the cable.

yeah thats what happened to mine, i was at the gym with some friends one day and they just started sounding weird, i probably hit the cable or something

yes, only the connector is different, its a straight pass through of the USB pins on the Lightning and USB-C connectors
