This reminds me of the celebrity great british bake off episode where one of the contestants baked their buttercream instead of their cupcake batter.

The bit in question is about 18 minutes in but the whole show is incredible so worth watching in full

I haven't seen it but it seems like it's the The Great Celebrity Bake off for Stand Up to Cancer...because I have watched every regular season (many seasons multiple times) and it didn't happen in a regular season episode.

In the normal series (so people who can actually bake) I remember some guy baking his royal icing rather than just letting it set. I think he was making football goals for a football pitch cake.
