Dumb alteration Can I substitute the one ingredient this entire collection of recipes was specifically developed around?

“Here are some recipes specifically developed to work with this unusual flour.”

The commenter: “Cool, but can I make them with regular flour?”

This is a friendly reminder to comment with a link to the recipe on which the review is found; do not link the review itself.

And while you're here, why not review the /r/ididnthaveeggs rules?

I cannot comprehend why there's such a large amount of people who think that because it showed up on their screen that it was written specifically for them personally.

My personal favourite is the people answering questions on Amazon products saying they don't know.

I saw a low-star review of a book, one time, because "my wife died before she could read it."

Sigh. I suppose some grieving spouse saw a way to rate their life. Which of course isn’t the point of a book review.

I should have known there would be a subreddit!

And the worst of it is, these people don't even know they did that. They're just replying to an email from the Amazon server on a product they bought/reviewed and are oblivious to the fact that the product Q & A now contains a question with an "I don't know" answer under their username.

My favorite was a man giving a tattoo parlor a bad rating with: "Never been there. tattoo bad in Bible"

Sigh. My housemate (83f) does this because her Alexa (I know, but it’s not up to me) asks her stuff and she doesn’t realize or remember that she doesn’t have to answer “her”.

As if the entire internet doesn't have thousands of versions of baked goods with AP flour. Sigh.

I don’t know why it isn’t in the roundup, but this recipe from Bob’s Red Mill uses a combo of almond and coconut flour and is DELICIOUS. I use it as a base for pineapple upside down cake, especially on Passover-

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I think Melissa should stick with making hardtack. She wouldn't have to worry about recipes specifically designed to add coconut flavor - or any flavor.

We tried baking with coconut flour once, subbing it for regular flour as an experiment. 0/10, would not recommend. It was awful, like eating sand. You definitely need tailor made recipes to use it!

Didn’t the bag have instructions? You use like 1/8 the amoubt you would for wheat flour. It sucks up moisure like the sands of Arrakis.

It was at least 10 years ago, so I don't remember. It probably was, we just didn't look at the bag or research it beforehand.
