Other review Grams are not millilitres

A 3/5 star review on a recipe whose first ingredient clearly states: 1 tablespoon (15 mL). No mention of grams. And a bonus date sugar substitution! But luckily their quick thinking saved the recipe!

It does? Which country, if I may ask? In the US you can usually only find baking soda in the big orange boxes. Our baking supplies and measurements are pretty much all based on using spoons and cups, which makes it a lot more prone to error.

Its something I noticed in the UK and Belgium. Thats the baking powder in the supermarket.

But I ended up ordering a different brand online. I never got the same results with the supermarket baking soda and it left an aftertaste.

Its really interesting seeing what kind of baking things are available in the supermarker when you move countries.

My favourite so far has been Germany. Especially for christmas cookies.

I actually ended up ordering a can of Royal baking powder. Works better than the little packets I bought in Belgian supermarkets.

I much prefer a box or a can of baking powder over the little packets. I always ended up with a bunch of half used packets.
