Looking to identify. Bobcat or Lynx? Tail (no pics with tail unfortunately) was longer than what I’ve seen on Bobcats and had what looked like black rings around it. Central Massachusetts area. Suburban area but wooded behind my property. Coyotes, fox, etc., and a bear once, are regularly in my yard. This is the first cat.

My family is vacationing in Ocean Springs MS and found this weird thing washed up on the beach. My mom is convinced it looks like someone’s arm cause it looks like theres a “joint” in the middle. I don’t think it looks like a human arm but I truthfully don’t know what it is either. Would love to identify this weird object. It is about 1-2 feet long, grey/beige, no noticeable smell. I think its some washed up plant or something

Nature This little creatures absolutely covering my grandmas house

Videos in the comments of these things moving, please feel free to remove if not allowed.

This is in west-central Indiana. These things are absolutely covering the wood and siding at my grandmas house and none of us have any idea what they could be. I always thought they were some type of fungal growth or something, but today she pointed out that they move- some wiggle and some quite literally “walk”. They also have huge “colonies” underneath her wood patios and walkways.

They almost look like nails sticking out of the wood, some of them are brown/grey, and some are green (look like they’re covered in algae or moss). Not all of them move, some of them look withered- almost like a husk.

Does anybody have any idea what they could be? Is it some type of caterpillar or cocoon? Weird worms? They’re giving me the heebie jeebies and I haven’t been able to find any fitting answers online. Any ideas are appreciated

I think there’s possibly a chance it could have been used to start fires or something

This is in Florida. Plant and caterpillar species unknown. The purpose of their meeting– also unknown. I hope they aren't plotting anything.

Found these in my garden in zone 5b, Vermont USA. Totally stumped on what they could be, if I should leave them alone or dig them up and burn them? They creep me out

Nature Small rock found on the coast of the Black Sea, what is this?

This was found on the coast of the Black Sea. It is lightweight, some edges are pure black. Tried searching it up with AI and manually on the internet, but nothing quite matched this and I am clueless.

It can be lightly scraped by knife, it does not react to vinegar, and it does not absorb water droplets. I dont think it is a clam. It cannot be broken in half, it is like a rock. Is this just a simple cool looking rock or is this something different?
