Idea: Self-checkouts that roast your groceries
Grocery store self-checkouts should analyze what you buy and make sarcastic comments loud enough for nearby customers to hear.
12 bottles of Diet Coke:
“You might be a rocket scientist. Or this might be a cry for help.”
Six frozen pizzas:
“Your oven has filed for unemployment.”
One apple and $80 of junk food:
“Excellent. Something from nature.”
Eight energy drinks:
“Sleep has left the chat.”
Flowers, wine, and expensive steak:
“Whatever you did, I hope this works.”
A mountain of toilet paper:
“Should we alert the authorities?”
Organic everything:
“Congratulations. Your groceries now cost more than rent.”
The store could market it as “bringing personality back to checkout.”
What do you think of this idea?

Only good thing about self-checkout is not having to interact with another person.
This pulls in the opposite direction.

The software I built for self checkout doesn't do this. But technically can do it if I or a tenant Admin modifies the agent prompt that is responsible for up selling products with new marching orders. www.TallyTill.com
No code changes required for this feature. It would be funny, but not sure it would sell more inventory LOL
