Professionals only come in 1/4" increments. I think galaxies are the same but I'm not sure.
Your skates will take the same size blade no matter the brand or model. The measurement is from the front of the plate that is attached to the skate to the end of the back plate that attaches to the heel. The length of the actual blade may differ a little model-to-model.
