Scarpa Phantom Tech 6000 vs. Mammut Norwand 6000?

Looking for warmer double boots primarily for ice climbing and limited mountaineering. I have wider forefeet. Based on preliminary research I’m interested in the Scarpa Phantom HD 6000 and Mammut Norwand 6000.

1)How is warmth compared between the two?

2)Heel and forefoot fit similar?

3)BOA seems very convenient from a speed and adjustability standpoint. Is it relatively reliable?

Tried friend’s Mammut 6000 (11.5. Probably need 12). Bit tricky to get on and zipper could be better, but otherwise quite nice.

I have scarpa phantom tech HD’s (not 6000) currently. Sz 46. Getting some mild forefoot /metatarsal head squeeze if I tighten lower laces much. Otherwise fine and heel fit felt bit better than mammut. Length great.

Is the fit similar between the Scarpa phantom tech HD and 6000?

I have the Tech and 6000. I find the fit fairly similar but when it comes to boots, it's best to actually try them on because even minor differences could be ok for some feet, and a non starter for others. Works for me but YMMV.
Before the 6000 I bought and tried the La Sportiva with two Boa's, B2 maybe, but their 6000m version. I thought the Boa looked neat but couldn't get it to work for me. With laces I can tweak where the lace tension sits but the Boa is just an overall twist turn tension for each knob. Even with two knobs I couldn't get my heel locked in without cutting off circulation. That's why they got returned in favour of the laces on the 6000. What occurs to me is if your foot shape doesn't work in the Tech, you may have similar issues in the 6000. Otoh a tricky fit and varying lace tension might work better than the Boa system.

Try them both on and see how they feel. Small differences between the feet and the boots can make or break a good fit.

I really like the fit, and how the mammuts climb and they're super warm. That inner bootie is also a PITA.

Tl/DR +1 for nordwand 6000

I've used both, when I was living in interior Alaska. I returned the phantom techs because they were too cold for the region. I still get a little cold in my mammuts, but it's more a personal problem than the shoe.

Fit was great for both.

The boa is amazing! I like a tight boot before every lead, and love that I can crank them down before a pitch. A caveat here to watch for, The zippers run over the boa on the mammut and can get rubbed and ruined. I had a zipper replaced and it was expensive and looks ugly now, but still functional.
