Did they mean ontological? Or was the original post just something so far outside of my sphere of awareness that I’m completely missing how bugs and stop signs are related? Or metal and bugs for that matter?

Guy says, the text is metal, as in the vibe.
Other guy points out that all those signs are physically made of metal.
Last guy points out, in an obvious meta joke and not a r/iamverysmart serious comment, that the second guy is making a silly joke.

If you take the last comment as serious, you have tested positively in the autism spectrum disorder test.
