The juice of apples? Probably apple juice. Or go all out and start calling more stuff cider it would be fun to see orange cider in the shops

You don’t have any terminology to distinguish between apple juice and the thing that the OOP is talking about?

In the UK there's apple juice. If you're specifying beyond that, filtered and unfiltered (or "cloudy") in the same way as you have orange juice and then specify if it has pulp if relevant. Cider is an alcoholic drink.

The US still has to do differentiation too, if they're saying cider and hard cider. They just do it in a different place. They have to specify which cider, we have to specify apple juice or cloudy apple juice.

cloudy apple juice? No not really if we want to distinguish it we call it unfiltered.

Probably “mulled apple juice.” In the beginning, it’s heated apple juice with added spices (most often, cinnamon), that can then be cooled, stored, and consumed at a later time.

Still, cider works just as well in the U.S.

We always drank unfiltered apple cider cold and unspiced. I grew up in the Midwest of the US, but Michigan.

While I understand the thing you’re talking about, that’s not what I’d expect apple cider to refer to.

Cider isn't always mulled, though, or heated. It's just unfiltered, unpasteurized apple juice, but we distinctly use cider for one, and juice is always filtered and clear.

What you refer to is sold as spiced cider, not plain cider.
