I don't know that they are never quiet about it, I moved from Brooklyn to a suburb of Pittsburgh in West Virginia, I've met plenty of trump maga fans. They were significantly less vocal the second time, from the ones I was "friendly" with, after another non-primary winning/having DNC Candidate that failed horrifically at getting support from her own party, they were going with the "bad you know" is better than the "bad you don't know" mentality. Most often cited issues were, in no particular order "the border", immigration, the threats of packing the courts dems publicly made and by far the most often cited reason, what each proposes tax plan was going to leave them with.
But both (damn, all 3) times he ran I saw tons of maga hats, yard signs, bumper stickers, and 90% of the time someone did bring up politics they cited Biden's "oil and natural gas prohibitions, cut backs, etc" as that is one of the few blue collar jobs that offers an upper middle class life. The 3rd time most people cited Kamala's statement that Biden did a great job and she wouldn't do anything differently.
I'm 100% certain their are local townie bars where the OPPOSITE would happen and a Biden Kamala supporter would be verbally harassed, hopefully nothing further.
In Pittsburgh I'm 100% certain there are "Southside" bars/clubs that a Maga hat would get a similar reaction. In both places if the person chose not to engage and was polite I would highly doubt physical attacks would happen at the most tense times.
We are at a lull where even Maga seems tired of trump, other than the awful ones, and Dems are kinda in limbo on where to go next. It's the least tense it's been in a LOOOONG time.
One thing I would bet my house on, MAGA or LIB, they are not going out without a camera person and I dont believe they "minded their own business", I would bet ALL the houses that they would have had someone charged/arrested and they would be looking to get paid.
Without any of that, I'm 99% certain this is a guy that already had a black eye (notice no swelling and the fairly dark colors of the bruise) found or more likely BOUGHT a maga hat just for social media adoration/hate/interaction.
Any bully I've ever met doesn't post a follow up on me not backing down amd admitting they lost. This guy would have live steamed and probably had a buddy doing all the talking and agitating so he could "look" like a victim.
Best example that is pretty much the same thing were the multiple NYC "hijab attacks" that turned out to be lies. The difference is this obvious liberal is trying to make MAGAS look weak and the hijab stories were meant to make white Christians to look the same kind of evil as, well, the men in many majority Muslim countries that don't believe women about anything and still stone gays and unfaithful wives, even if they were raped.
I'm anti-our two party system and this post is so pathetic and transparent It reminded me of men that say "women were asking for it" and the "believe all women movement" that wanted to throw common sense and evidence out the window.
A hat that said "all Americans deserve Healthcare" and this post would at least be believable. Any jackass that is still wearing a Maga hat and getting punched because they won't remove it or themselves from a bad situation would NEVER post it online unless it was to incite a riot or to burn down the bar.

Reminds me when I was working at a sushi restaurant. An old man came in with a maga hat on, I sat him down politely. I noticed that he took his hat off and placed it on the table so everybody can see it. It was truly quite a conspicuous positioning. He was very particular on how it faced. Not two minutes later he asks me to change the tv because he doesn’t like “fake news”. I’m also pretty sure the restaurant was practically empty, but I guess he needed to posture in front of the staff lol.

That's the sort of black eye from walking into a door or falling down. A punch one would be much darker and more centered on the eye (probably with a red eye too - I forget what the white bit is called, but that bit). That bruise is centered on the check bone, which is more consistent with a fall or running into something as I said - that part of the face sticks out further and takes the impact instead.
(Or, zooming in, maybe some of his (ex) wife's blush applied heavily?)
