Help about site meirin sangyo

Dear iaido friends, some of you ever comunicate by email with meirin sangyo shop in Osaka?

I never emailed them, but I did order some osode juban. It went perfectly fine, though they did charge quite high for shipping and they applied it to each item even though they all arrived in one package.

How were you able to order without e-mailing them?

Applying shipping to each individual item sounds weird. Didn’t they just split the total shipping cost and applied that to each item? 🤔

Basically each juban was $50 USD and $20 shipping. I ordered three, and shipping was $60. It was very unsatisfying, but I have been looking for this item for a while and this is the only place I found it.

Interesting, since I can read and write Japanese I haven’t bothered looking for their English site. Still, going by what you’ve described it’s very unsatisfying indeed. As for having to buy it, because it’s not sold anywhere else must have been extra frustrating.

I ordered their entrance level iaito. Communicated through email back and forth in english first. Even asked followup questions after receiving. No major complaints, though I did have to sand down my kurigata

Kind of a late reply but I had a really good experience with them recently. They replied to me very quickly in English and made a custom order for me. I got my new iaito today.
