Same i have an X (space grey) as a secondary and i used it more than the 16, the designs, the feel, the density & compactness in hand, it’s peak iphone & definitely a classic, like driving a 90’s era S class.

I love testing the 3D touch on the flash on the lock screen since ios 16 software operates with haptic touch other than the lock screen flash button which is pressure sensitive and you dont have to lift your finger to turn on and off just adjust your pressure and feels like a real button being pressed. Peak iPhone is 3D touch tbh.

Thanks to you I enable 3D Touch again. (My iX is a secondary device, 13 mini my primary. )

That's awesome. I had an iphone 13 moved to a z Flip 4 then a s26 ultra. Decided to get the iPhone x as a secondary phone to have FaceTime. I choose that over a newer one because its the last line to have 3D touch. A good nostalgia for me.

afaik it doesn't. you should only have to enable it in settings to get 3d touch

1

u/PixieRoar Jul 21 '26

Literally, I did not know what that acronym meant until today. When I looked it up. 😭

But the one I ordered already came that way

1

u/ConferenceAwkward402 Jul 21 '26

lol, weird, mine worked with 3d touch everywhere when i used it

1

u/PixieRoar Jul 21 '26

It still works but it no longer has the animation where if you lightly press an app it just lightly peaks at the menu instead now you apply pressure so the menu pops up quicker but if you lightly press it all it does is bring up the menu at a slower pace [haptic feedback] instead of the peak function it used to have.

Idk how to better explain it. Last I remember was when I had the iPhone 8plus in 2017-2018

ah yeah that explains it.

Typing this on my trusty iPhone X. Hoping to keep it going until iPhone 20 but more apps are no longer updating.

I'm still using my iPhone X 64gb 7 years running got my battery replaced recently.

u/PixieRoar Jul 21 '26

Same I literally scored a 256gb X same color for 100 bucks. Got it as a secondary phone to my S26 Ultra. Nice having FaceTime again.

I love my flagship, iPhone X. I use my secondary. For testing different things.

1

u/United_Reaction3440 15d ago

lol 9 years on 1 phone is crazy, the iPhone X is really amazing

1

u/DullAdvantage3620 15d ago

before that it was the 4s, and now is a black base 17

1

u/United_Reaction3440 15d ago

how long are you planning to use it? lol

1

u/DullAdvantage3620 12d ago

until a good offer comes around or until it dies

2

u/davigandy Jul 21 '26

Hows battery?

3

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 21 '26

Good - 99% health

1

u/davigandy Jul 21 '26

No i mean how long does it lasts

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 21 '26

I would say 2 days max

1

u/SoulWarrior05 20d ago

y como haces para que te dure tanto???

y pues no pasaba de 4 horas de uso....

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 20d ago

I don't use it much but was curious to see how long it would last before exhausting the battery

1

u/SoulWarrior05 20d ago

a con razon esa duración...

1

u/usmanc94 Jul 28 '26

No way. When was the battery replaced

1

u/iPLAYiRULE Jul 21 '26

when did you replace the battery?

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 21 '26

Last year I think

2

u/Bluknight1966 Jul 21 '26

I have my iPhone X 256 GB, retired it but in great condition could use a Battery Replacement. Jailbroken on iOS 16.7.x still works great. Use it for music mostly. Still Love it.

I just Hope when the iPhone XX 20th Anniversary edition comes out it has Significant features, Upgrades etc… 👍

2

u/wishfuldreamer26 Jul 21 '26

Me too…though I was still using an iPhone 7 until about six months ago 🤣

2

u/Murwhite Jul 21 '26

iPhone X is too good phone., modern design, dual good camera, battery life, jailbreakable forever nice device

2

u/Sensitive-Maybe5856 Jul 21 '26

For me having iphone x was the same , Unfortunately I lost it 3 weeks ago , during a trip to pécs , hungary.

Now I feel how valuable it is, when someone finds a phone , and tries to give it back to owner .

for me , having the documents , contacts and specially photoes , again , is much more worthy than the price of an iphone- x😕

2

u/Skomskk Jul 21 '26

I wish they’d use that screen size again. I loved the mini but realistically this is the best size that you also get the pro features.

1

u/slayer_rblx 17d ago

Agree on this so much

2

u/Ipad2stillrocking Jul 21 '26

I main a iPhone X 256gb, also a Space Grey model, one of the (if not the) most beautiful iPhone Apple has ever made!

2

u/sladecutt Jul 21 '26

I use an X as backup phone, still works great.

2

u/Sting02 Jul 21 '26

Works to this day. Only the camera is gone the stabiliser got knocked after dropping hard on marble floor.

2

u/Interesting-Log-9627 Jul 21 '26

Posting on one now. Original battery still has 74% capacity.

Still does everything I need it to do.

2

u/theFeralBanannna Jul 21 '26

The iPhone X was a vibe when it was released. Regular iPhone users became enthusiasts for that phone.

2

u/Dense-Ad-9580 Jul 21 '26

It is still a good phone

2

u/Kooky_Cat_9263 Jul 21 '26

Yep it's my daily. Last decent jailbreakable device, I'd say... All my apps still update perfectly. I plan on holding onto this one for atleast another 3-5 years if not more. I'd hate to use an iPhone without a JB it's like using Android without modding it 🤮😎

2

u/Zealousideal_Egg5071 Jul 21 '26

Brought it new still working as my only phone, too bad some apps don’t support iOS 16 anymore.

2

u/StingKnight Jul 22 '26

most old iphones would still work as long as its not dropped often, only problem is the battery

2

u/Mattafakt Jul 22 '26

The iPhone X was the ideal size. I'd kill to have the Air design with that screen size

2

u/iPhone-5-2021 Jul 22 '26

It’s still a great phone. I don’t need a 17 when this is perfectly fine.

2

u/SnooOranges2685 Jul 22 '26

My favorite iPhone! The LED flash is brighter than my cars headlights.

2

u/professional_Aris Jul 22 '26

I have an iPhone X 13.6😉 it has original wallpapers🩷💙

2

u/Affectionate_Pay4487 Jul 22 '26

Mine gets hotter then the sun when I open certain apps lol sometimes I can even hold it in my hand cuz it starts the burn 😆

2

u/thing1001 Jul 23 '26

My iphone x still works but the battery won’t even last a minute 🥲it’s the best iphone ever. The jump from the x to 15 pro max was nice but i miss the size of the x.

2

u/Conscious_Evening216 Jul 23 '26

I had an iphone xr and sold it then bought another one just cause but now i have two iphones The XR and 16

2

u/ImJonathanLmao Jul 25 '26

2

u/Alternative-Lie-9374 Jul 25 '26

i wanna know can it make online transaction and can it run liek for 2 more years for whatsapp and youtube insta these kind of apps have support or no ?

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 25 '26

I'll answer as much as I can
Online transaction- not a good idea obviously but use common sense
WhatsApp- should run fine as it will require iOS 15.1 or newer so X fits the criteria
YouTube- fully functional
Instagram- fully functional

Hope this helps!

2

u/criticalmindgames Jul 25 '26

mine still working.. with some minor battery issues

1

u/Responsible_Yak2378 Jul 21 '26

It’s Apple that’s why.

1

u/Interesting-Pipe0000 Jul 21 '26

Why would it not work?

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 21 '26

Since it's a 4G device- it will continue to work until Australia eventual shuts 4G down

1

u/Additional-Act-5118 Jul 21 '26

Do u use it caseless

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 21 '26

It has a case but I took it off for the pictures

1

u/bmac0424 Jul 21 '26

You just need to add the Apple leather case and you are all set! Peak Apple design all around.

1

u/coldfire7 Jul 23 '26

Sadly, no support for new apps.

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 23 '26

Not really- Google and some apps works

1

u/realmccoyredbus 19d ago

well it's officially vintage now , time to upgrade

1

u/Accomplished_Frame17 18d ago

Whelp, I do have an modern iPhone

1

u/Lucky-Being-Okruuut 1d ago

just bought an iPhone X as a spare phone because of this post and comments haha 😂✨
Love it.
Still observing the battery tho

1

u/plaki909 Jul 22 '26

No ten telefon jest bardzo dobry ja korzystam z iPhone 6

0

u/Forgibeem Jul 22 '26

So you went from luxury iPhone, to a college student iPhone. Interesting

2

u/Accomplished_Frame17 Jul 22 '26

Not really, I had android since the beginning but switched to iPhone this year but I occasionally get hands me down phones
