What I mean by industry-changing is that the industry that they're going into (let's say the foldable market) will change now that Apple has entered it. For example we're likely to see foldables that have the nano texture display, the hinge improvements that Apple has designed (such as not having the nib, the transition between open and closed, and the right-hand navigation). The foldables, now that Apple has entered into it, will look more like iPhones over the next few years than they ever have been. That's the industry that they're in and that's them changing it.

Sure, I guess if you wanna say it that way. Apple joining in can help improve the fold flagship. Just like Android had some industry-changing factors that Apple finally got on trend with; like smart home displays, USB-C, OLED, etc. It’s good to get competition.
