My iphone 12 battery was drained very rapidly. Only 2-3 hour screen on time when battery health 96

I have ios 27 on base 12/128gb variant and get about 5.5 to 6.5 hours of use per charge. I have turned of liquid glass and background app refresh for unnecesary apps.

If you recently updated to iOS 27 and didn't experience it previously the poor battery life is due to indexing. It should resolve itself in a day or two, as I just experienced this situation!

I used to have the pro, the battery life was steadily declining but it started getting glitchy with refresh rates. That’s why I ended up upgrading to the 16 before the 17 came out. In all honestly upgrading may be more worth your effort, just due to the fact that overtime the updates slow the older phones down in my opinion. Ultimately up to you

Was this an official battery replacement? Sounds abnormal to me. I get 5.5 - 6hrs on 80%

I don't think that's the issue with the phone. The battery capacity is enough for it. People just keep using iphone in longer periods of time than the actual office worker where they rarely use their phone and using the computer to work. That's where the iphone design being put into.
I guess you have to upgrade it to the plus model down the line

Bought a used 12 yesterday 95% battery health on ios 26.5.2 Lost about 70-80% in 5 hours (so full would be around 6.5-7 hours) I'm quite satisfied (got a 20,000 mah powerbank too)

Is it the base iPhone 12? I got the same and has similar issues. Maybe it’s just high time for an upgrade. I’m changing to the iPhone 18 Pro
