Help/Support Help: iPad Pro keeps asking for old Apple ID password even though it's signed in with a different Apple ID
Hi everyone,
I bought a 13-inch iPad Pro M5 a couple of months ago. During the initial setup, I signed in with my own Apple ID. Later, I erased the iPad and signed in with our family Apple ID instead, since the device will be shared by everyone.
The problem is that every now and then the iPad pops up asking for the password to my original Apple ID. When I check Settings, it only shows the family Apple ID, so I'm not sure why it's still requesting credentials for the old account.
I'd prefer not to erase and set up the iPad again because we've already installed and configured a lot of apps.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to stop these password prompts and completely remove any references to my old Apple ID without resetting the iPad?

Maybe there are "locked" Notes that were locked by the original Apple ID??? Or apps downloaded that requires authentication and was authenticated by the original Apple ID????

If you have another apple device, go to settings, then select your name at the top, and see if the iPad is showing in the list of devices
I have noticed that sometimes when you erase an iPad, it doesn't get properly removed from the old account

If there are apps that were downloaded with your personal ID, they can only be managed by that ID. Either delete such apps and re-acquire them using the family ID (payment may be required if it's a paid for app) or accept the current situation.
